Replacement heat bed

Post by Newls » Mon Apr 22, 2019 5:29 am

Hi All

So i did the most stupidest thing tonight and rushed a bed led leveling. I've now scratched the middle of the bed quite badly.
I'm not sure how badly this will affect my future print. I'm trying to print away from the middle at the moment.

Has anyone replace either the entire bed or just the glass?
If so how expensive is it and can you replace only the top glass?

I was debating getting a magnetic plate to go on top but i'm fairly sure it won't stick on it's own. I guess i could use clips to keep it down.
I do quite like the idea of being able to remove the plate to get stuck parts off.

I think you can use the mask tape to cover the hotbed.
(If the hotbed still can work)
I use it on my A30 and it gives me a good result. ;)

The mask tape is cheap and you can get it easy on your locations.

Thanks for the reply. Masking tape will work. I'll get some soon. Anyone have a preference or are they all pretty much the same.
