Bed not moving in Y axis

I have a very new A10M. in the middle of the print it kept moving forward (on y) and doesn't want to go back. Initially, I thought my Y end switch is not working (LED was on no matter what in NO or NC positions). So I got a new switch and replaced it. the problem still remained. so I got a multimeter and tested all three axis voltages,
X - 5, 5, 0
Z - 5, 3.7, 0
Y - 5, 0, 0 (this is the dead one)
By simple observation, it seems all the connectors have 5V and ground at the edges. its the centre pin that is supposed to carry 5V. and a zero in the centre means the switch is dead? and if that is the case, how did it drop? is my Z axis is going to die soon (as its going down in voltage from 5 to 0)?
can someone help me fix this problem of Y-axis not moving?
thanks a million.
