Hi, I have an A10 with GT2560 Rev. 3.
I'm using TMC2208 drivers and I would like to setup the Extruder one in UART.
Does anybody know what pin should I use on the motherboard for tx and rx?
Thanks

Hi,

What about A10T with GT2560 V4.0?
Can I do UART with TMC 2208?

Cheers
Andrzej

I have A10 GT2560 v3, and the TMC2208 works only for X-Y_Z motors.
About the extruder the TMC2208 doesn't work, the motor doesn't move.

Could anybody help me? please

Hi,

Topprinter what mode did you set up (Standalone, OTP or UART)?
If it works for XYZ then you might have a faulty driver or not connected properly, try swapping E with Z and see.

Cheers
Andrzej

I set up STANDALONE.
When I use TMC2208 the extruder motor doesn't move, but if i use A4998 the extruder motor works.
It's strange......I tried to substitute the TC2208 with another TMC2208, but the same ...the motor doesn't move

Hi,

even if you would manage to make stepper move it would miss-steps. I have this problem so I am trying to connect it in UART mode.
I cant find anywhere GT25600 V4.0 schematics (detailed!) that I could use to find where I can connect communication. Also file pins_GT2560_V4.0.h doesn't exist.

In 2020 I got A10T with Marlin 1.1.8 and Geeetech provides an update to 1.1.8....
If I knew that there is a lack of information and support I wouldn't buy it.
