Z-Axis limit switch not being tripped

Hi,

I recently bought a Geeetech A10 printer and everything seems to work until I auto home the printer. When I do this, everything seems to move to the correct position, however when the extruder is lowering along the Z-axis, it keeps on lowering and eventually just ends up jack-hammering the plate.

Is there a reason that this would happen? How could I fix this issue?

Thanks.

Update:

It appears that the limit switch isn't working for some reason or another. I'm trying to play around with the wires and just simple checks, but that's rather annoying considering I got the printer a few days ago.

Just a final update on this issue -

I disassembled it entirely and had a look in where the motherboard or whatever it's called is located. It seemed that whoever assembled this printer forgot to plug in the second half of the Z axis limit switch. After I plugged it in it is working as expected.
