Whenever I start a print the printer homes and then moves to the center of the bed raises the print head then stops moving. while it is stopped the LCD says that the print is going, however, nothing is happening. I have tried the provided Gcode on the sd card and my own Gcode from cura and neither work. Other than that all other functions work fine.

Check the connections on your board for your end stops.
Had the same problem and for me the x and y end stop where in the wrong place. Also noticed whe. Setting to home possition it went to the end and started to viberate like crazy. Check if this is the same.for you on all xyz
