I am new in 3d printing and the A10 is my first 3d printer.

I got a massiv layer shifting problem when the printer have to move fast in the y axis, e.g. printing the infill in a small edge.
Its only the y axis, the x axis works flawless.

When I move the y axis by hand, I think I feel a slight resistance in the middle.

Any Ideas how I can solve this problem?

1.Check the profile of yours
The travel speed no more than 150MM/S
2.Check the vref of the Y axis motor driver board(Normal is 0.8~1.2V)

Thank you for your answer. I have tweaked the vref to 1.2v on all steppers but it didn't help much. The printing speed is 50 mm/s and the travel speed is 100 mm/s.

The layershifting is always in the same direction and it always begins when the printer have to fill very small gaps, mostly when printing the infill between tight walls.

Here some pics of the last fault print. The first layers printed perfectly, by start printing the top layers it come to the layer shifting.
Could it be, that the stepper motor is broken?

Nothing is broken. The printer is new must work several dozen hours to work reliably.
This is the time during which you can gather invaluable experience.

Try to lower the speed even further or change the parameters responsible for the dynamics of movement.

The possibilities are multitude. Do tests.

If it isn't mechanical like you believe it might be then it's time to dive into settings.

I had trouble with layer shifting in the y-axis when I began configuring my slicer software and fresh off of a firmware update. My issue was the acceleration and jerk numbers were really high. Once, I lowered them in both places I stopped having shifts/missed steps and much smooth motor transitions. HTH

Wow! Thank you. I updated to your Marlin 2.0 version and the layer shifting is gone.

I have nearly the same problem like vollstrecker. Like on his picture it begins at 5mm from the beginning. I have to admit it is my first printer. Updated to 1.9 and fixed some loose wheels at the base. The plate was really wobbly because 2 of 4 wheels had too much distance from the rails.

Literally had that issue no matter how slow I printed. The previous gentlemen setup the marlin 2.0 beta which is here It fixed my y axis shifting I was having. Its due to the jerk issue when I uploaded marlin 2.0 without having tweaked the settings I was not getting any jerky motion the printer ran very fluid and clean and with no layer shifting life was great. Its up to you but upgrading the firmware could change the print quality and lower your headaches and frustrations. Also make sure your bolts that attach your frame together are all tight as well as belts.
