Print stops part way

Post by chooch » Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:57 am

Hello again,

A10 running Marlin 2.0 with 3D touch and TMC2208's.

I attempted my first larger print, 4+ hours estimated to complete, and the print stopped part way. LCD is frozen/hung and dial doesn't respond. Nozzle and bed remained heated.

First attempt was on build 245. I thought maybe a bad flash so I loaded build 247, cleaned eeprom and formatted the SD and tried again. It just stopped part way again, about 3 hours in, nozzle/bed still heated and LCD not responding. I am printing from SD.

What can I do to troubleshoot?

Thanks

Looks like you were right. I took the cover off the controller box and the print completed.

Guess I will have to figure out a way to improve the cooling of the controller

You can add the heat sink for the TMC2208(The TMC2208 is better than A4988 while it needs a better cooling system)
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!
