hot end voltage
hot end voltage
Just wondering what the voltage is on the A10M for the hot end, since I'm planning on replacing it for a 2 in 2 out extruder. I'm guessing it's 24v but don't want to assume in case there is a jumper somewhere limiting it.
Re: hot end voltage
Hi Akuma.
I can help to dispel your doubts but remind me what version of the controller board you have.
And what PSU your printer has.
I greet you warmly.

Re: hot end voltage
I thought of verifying with a multimeter, but I'm waiting on a new power supply since the last one died. It might be another week and I didn't want to wait. The power supply is 24V.
I didn't know the control boards came in different versions for the A10M? No idea what one I have. I bought 3 months ago if that tells you anything.
Thanks for the help.

Re: hot end voltage
Hi.
It is worth knowing the type of main components. It's like with this power supply.
Since you know that your printer is powered by 24V, you will determine the parameters of other components on this basis.
For example, the heaters you asked about.
They are selected to work properly with such voltage. Compared to those powered by 12V they have slightly higher resistance.
This is to ensure their long failure-free operation.

Re: hot end voltage
Thanks. I was thinking the same, but I do believe they have used a 12V cooling fan on a 24V circuit so anything's possible with Geeetech.
Re: hot end voltage
Take into account the fact that the controller board has additional circuits of a small power supply. You can check it in the schematic.

Where do I find this schematic?

Re: hot end voltage
I found out it's 24V
