I tried and tested this firmware for 2 intensive days...
It's a good idea but it needs to be more stable, it misses a lot of marlin features.

I don't suggest to use this fw, how actually it presents.

In my opinion there is only lack of mixing features, the others either do not need it or they are easy be created using a macro.

Thanks for taking the time to post this for others to use. I am contemplating on installing Klipper, to see what it's all about, but had quick questions for you:

Does your LCD panel work with the Klipper LCD options? It looks like you have it configured, just wanted to confirm.

Have you looked into, or are you using, saved mesh to avoid having to probe each time? I use UBL with Marlin and love the feature. It seems that Klipper can also support a saved mesh that can be recalled before a print.

Which Vref did you choose for the TMC2208? Even at 0.85V the stepper motors become hot

E Motor tends to get hot. Just to be safe I switched back to the original driver just for the extruder and now it runs cooler.

thanks for the config, @killvearn!

BTW, if you have no bltouch you should uncommend the endstop_pin in the [stepper_z] section and set it like that:

Code: Select all

endstop_pin: ^!ar30

Thank You very much for opening my eyes. I'm modify your printer.cfg file for my A10M with BlTouch copy. Klipper is far better firmware than Marlin. My settings is in attachments for Cura and for Klipper. printerA10M.zip
Sorry for my English.
Hi.
Very useful your conf. I've used it as a base for my A20M.
Question: My LCD does not work. Of course, I'd say, since is different.
I do not find the type of LCD of the A20M, where did you find yours?
