Access to the x-Axis end stop module

Post by bunnysando » Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:56 am

Need to look at replacing a faulty x-axis end stop switch. It's attached to a module that is in turn attached inside the housing for the motor, the one with the big QR code.

I tried the 4 bolts on the motor, as it looks like they go into the housing on the other side, but man those are tight bolts and I don't want to strip them...am I headed in the right direction?

Yes you are. Be careful and hold the motor with one hand because those screw keep it in place.

I wasn't going to back them all the way out, but let me ask you this...Are these bolts lefty loosey, righty tighty? I have already run into some that are not and these are tight, I just don't want to strip anything.

thanks for confirmation

Unscrew = counterclockwise
Screw = clockwise

very good to know...I hadn't attempted this until I had my hands on some better tools...possibly saved me a ton of trouble.
