A10M DEAD!
A10M DEAD!
Was printing fine for most of last week even via usb to pc. Wired raspberry pi to usb port using octoprint and first job I tried to print from SD card failed it heated up the bed but not head then proceeded to try and print the file at 20c so stopped it then was a bang noise while I was turning on pc (not connected to printer to edit the file thinking that was problem) but now no fans no lights 24v at plug but nothing! and I had a 6hr print run waiting to go which was going to be used this Thursday. I guess its amazon return which is going to be a pain as I have built the printer!

Hello.
You probably had a short-circuit in the heat bed circuit, and the main power supply broke down.
Find the source of the fault and warranty claim the power supply.

Re: A10M DEAD!
Going back to amazon today it’s not a short on heated bed as i unplugged all the plugs to check the board just leaving power connected light comes on but nothing else. Also I have checked voltage out of power pack and it’s running at 24v DC
I own a ctc i3 clone and have upgraded it with lots of parts over a year so I do know my way around one. I am thinking it’s the main board gone pop which I can’t swap out as my other printer uses different plugs

Re: A10M DEAD!
I had issues with my A10M right out of the box. Checked all connections, everything seemed good, but the bed was shorting out. I had metal clips on the corners of the bed, which had scraped through the bottom layer of the bed and were making contact with the coils. Check to see if these clips are still present, as they are not actually needed and were the cause of my issues. Just slide them off and see if it works.

@mj4178
Please check if there are clips for fixing the super plate, if yes, take them off and test.

Re: A10M DEAD!
Was no clips for plate on A10M its glued to base by looks of it.
I think it was more a fault on motherboard that went pop
It got returned and new one has arrived today hopefully will last longer than 1 week

Hello, I just mounted the A10. The print head is very loose and wobbly.
The super plate has a clip in each corner, I remove it, slips the glass plate on the heatbed. Under the glass plate is double-sided adhesive tape. I have to remove the clips, and do I have to stick the glass plate on the heating bed???
