Layer Shifting

Post by Sneakers » Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:33 am

So.... I'm getting some pretty bad layer shifts.. I checked the obvious. The bed moves freely and doesn't catch. The belt doesn't seem too tight to me.

I've been having a really hard time printing anything on this printer. I've tried Cura with the profile that's on forum. I couldn't get anything to stick to the bed. So I tried out Slic3r.

First layer went down pretty smoothly.
My travel speed was 120 mm/s ; That was probably a bit high. I'll lower that for sure.
Print speed was 60 mm/s

So after printing like this for 2 hrs, is the stepper motor toast?

So I slowed down the travel and print speed and tried again. The second guy came out pretty good.
I'm working with Slic3r 1.29.

I need to try that.

I did tighten up all my belts and Y carriage. But it turns out I had them too tight. Also, I had the A10 printing the infill at 80mm/s. So that's why I had the crazy layer shifting.

My a-10 is shifting ocastionally all in the "Y+" direction. Running "ABS" at 250* ,bed at 80* speed 90-100%, Flowrate 80%. am I pushing too much filament out and dragging the nozzele. ?? But it only skip shifts in the "Y+" axis ??

Maybe you can refer to these:
1.The V-wheel is good or broken
2.Loose the V-wheel a little
3.Check the vref of the A4988(You can refer the FAQ of the A10)
4.Check the speed of the travel
5.Check the motor move normal or not(You can swap them then you can know the result)
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

Just decrease the YJERK value using menu : "Control / Move / Jerk / YJerk and specify 10 in place of 20 which is the default value

If it solves your issue don't forget to Store your settings (if not savec, value will be reinitialised to default at next switch ON

Hope it helps
