Hello
I have a GT2560 V4.0 Mother Board in my A10
I tried to update firmware with latest available .hex
Tried with PC GT Firmware Tool, Cura and even Octoprint. All happend good : Writing hex, reading hex, comparing, ok and restart printer but after printer reboot the firmware is always the same : 1.1.8 dated 2017-12-25, no update at all, control values are the same
I tried the "hold button reset and release just when update with cura" but the same : progress bar for updating, writing, reading, all is good, update successful according Cura, reboot and Nothing ! Firmware version is always the same and not updated at all.
Could be a problem with the bootloader ? A jumper to avoid firmware erasing on Mother Board ?
Please help
Thanks
GT2560 V4 Unable to update firmware
Re: GT2560 V4 Unable to update firmware
Hello, I found the problem : Firmware from Geeetech does not contain a release or a compilation date !!!
So that you are completely blind when you update ! After you have successfully updated you are unable to know if the new update is really uploaded or not. Simply you can not check ! You have to only trust the upload process...
Finally I have compiled myself a new firmware Marlin 2.0.8 (2.0.7 Nightly BugFixes) for my A10 printer and its new GT2560 V4.0 MB
I have set a compilation, a version date, a version number and an author (myself).
I have uploaded it and now I can check the firmware is really uploaded because I can see the version dates !
