*No SD card error* and connection problems (Help...)

Post by BucksDanny » Thu Dec 17, 2020 4:23 pm

Dear All
I have some big trouble. I recently updated my A10 to an A10M with 3D touch. I changed the motherboard because the Z-stepper connection was fried. (I managed to work around that for a while but decided to just get a new one and a full upgrade)

Even before (with the old motherboard) I had some connection issues, my printer would just time out randomly. Sometimes when printing by usb cable it gets stuck in an infinite reboot cycle. (I use windows 10, Repetier host and cura slicing software). So I always used a cached print or printed from SD. No I get this *No SD card error* and I have no way to print any more. Both slots detect the card being inserted an removed.
I looked up both errors but found no solution that works for me.

This is what I tried already:
- Flashed the firmware
- used special formatting software on my micro-SD cards (I have 3 from 3 different brands all below 16GB)
- bought another SD-card ( no. 4)
- bought another, more shielded, USB A-B cable (and kept it away from the power cable)
- played with the connection settings for the COM port, update drivers etc.

My next step will be swapping the motherboards again but I don't think that this will do the trick for the connection problem, maybe it will solve the SD problem. Another thing I will try is using the easyprint 3D software. I am not really convinced that Repetier is the problem.
Has somebody an idea where I should look next, because after this I am out of ideas... :?:

Small update, printing by EasyPrint 3D does not solve the connection problem...
