Multicolour printing A10m

Post by Njacki » Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:06 am

hello,

I recently bought a geetech a10m, as I was wanting to experiment with the 2 in 1 out extruder. Is it possible to use 2 different colour filaments and a mix, all in one print? And what software do you use to set this up?

For example, I want to print a jack skellington figure where he is standing on a tombstone. With the character being all black and white and the tombstone being grey, if I loaded a black and white filament for the character and a mix of the 2 for the tombstone. Is it possible to configure it so i can do the whole print as a single piece?

So far I haven't been able to find any real guides or info on how to use the colour mixing properties of the a10m other than applying a gradient or a mix to the whole print.

I'm using cura and so far I've managed to get the printer dialled into the point where the print quality is on par with a friends ender 3, which I'm extremely happy with but I want to be able to use the mixer capabilities in such a way as above, any one able to shed some light or link to some tutorials?
