A10M Dual print. Filaments getting mixed and not in separate sections

Post by Pavan » Tue Mar 31, 2020 5:21 am

Hello Everyone,

I am new to A10M, I have made a basic model Parrot which has its beak, wings, claws as a different object. This allows us to print the different parts with different extruders.

I am trying to print them with my filament Silky Yellow and Black. But the colors get mixed and do not remain separate. Please see the enclosed pictures.

I think using a larger prime tower will solve this issue, but cant see a way to do this within Repetier-Host. Anyone knows how to do it?

I tried to use CURA where we can use a larger prime tower, but dual print settings were weird in CURA and I ended up with a lot of stringing. The nozzle retracts and was cooling down before changing filament, I could not solve it - I am not used to CURA.

Please let me know how I can improve my print. For now, this printer is just any with a single extruder :(

Thanks ,
Pavan

Hi, You can try to use the color mixer for color mixing settings,

Regarding color mixing, a whole model cannot be mixed in the slicing software.
You can only select models that can be assembled, select the corresponding extruder and then perform fusion slicing.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
