Need Help: top, bottom and wall issues

Post by BBowman88 » Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:22 am

Hi, I'm new to 3D printing and am helping a friend figure out their Geeetech A10. I've got it working pretty well with Cura but the walls are never connected to the top and bottom, and the print quality on the top and bottom is not very smooth, you can actually see light through the top if you hold it up to a lightbulb. I've attached my cura settings, which I copied from a youtube video person that had a good quality print in a video he made. I thought maybe the problem was not enough walls so I bumped it up to 5 for one print and I can literally see 5 unconnected walls that go all the way through the print. How do I get the walls to connect and the top and bottom to be filled in? Thanks in advance for any advice!

the e/steps is currently set to 110.55 based on a video I saw that explained solutions to common A10 problems. It was set to 93 from the factory. Both settings have yielded similar results, which way should I go up or down?

I have tried 6 bottom and top layers and noticed no difference but I will give that a shot.

What setting controls how closely strands are printed next to each other?
