Extruder E1 does not move

Post by dmonge » Thu Dec 19, 2019 8:32 pm

I have my Geeetech A10M with motherboard GT2560 v3.0 and Marlin 1.1.8. When I try to print with extruder E1 there is a noise wich increases when tightening the A4988 potentiometer and decreases when loosening the potentiometer, but there is no movement.

I have changed the drive, tuned it at the rigth voltage (1.0v approx), without results. I have checked the motor in E0 and it works fine. Rest of the printer functions seem to be good.

I don´t know whether there is a firmware or hardware issue.

Could you help me please?

TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.

Hi,You can check whether your Teflon tube is fully inserted and whether your consumables can be fully inserted into the E1 extruder.
Check the tightness of the spring of your feeder;
See if your extruder motor can run normally,
If not, you can exchange the motor wires of the extruder with the motor wires of other shafts.

I hope this can help you.

He could think that tube is inserted, but... lot of plastics residue in the cooler inside. Very hard to push it out thru hot tip with supplied rod, it will be good to supply 4mm rod too (4mm drill did not helps because it does not have flat end).

Thank you both for your answer. The problem was in the mother board, once replaced my printer came back to life.

Awesome after sales service by Geeetech.
