Problems with my new Geeetech A10M
Hello,
First at all, i want to say, that im from Germany. So I excuse me for this english.
i recently bought a Geeetech A10M. I like the quality of the printer very much, but i have one big problem.
If i print any "bigger" things, i get very much times an "offset" while the print is taken. I dont know where the source of the problem is. I slice with Cura and in the Preview it is all normal.
Sometimes, after a new slicing, the issue is gone.
In the pictures, you can see my problems.
I adjusted already the stepper driver to prevent overheating.
Has anybody the same issues, or know how to fix it?

Re: Problems with my new Geeetech A10M
Set the "jerk" value in Cura to 2, this helped in my case for such issue. Cura will overrided the firmware value.

Hi, You can need 1. Check the tightness of the belt;
2. Check whether the bearing and the pulley are issued (lubricating oil can be added);
3. Properly reduce the printing speed.

Re: Problems with my new Geeetech A10M
Hi there, having the same issue with Y layer shift on my A10M. My first print (the dog that comes on the SD card) went smoothly, Everything I have sliced for myself though has had Y layer shift. I will try the recommended "jerk" setting in Cura, and look at the other settings listed. However what speed setting have you found to work? Any other recommendations?
Thanks!
Ted

Hi, you can adjust the tightness of the belt; you can adjust it by referring to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoOaT5fkgfg
2. Adjust the drive board voltage (0.8-1.2v);
3. The printing speed should not be too fast, and it can be in the range of 30-60mm/s.

Re: Problems with my new Geeetech A10M
Thanks William, I will try that speed setting tomorrow. On this last print, I had some y shift in the first few mm (height) of printing, and then discovered the "tune" section of the A10M menu. From there I adjusted my jerk down from 20 (default) to 10 and my print speed down from 100 (where Cura had it) to 80. The remainder of the print finished with no additional y-shift so I think I might be on the right track! Now to make those changes in Cura and try again!
Thanks again for your help!

Re: Problems with my new Geeetech A10M
dropped the print speed to 80 on the display (was 100), and the y and x jerk to 10 (was 20). did this at the start of a print from SD card, while the printer was warming up. have had no y layer shift since on 4 prints. seems to have solved the issue for me! Hope it helps someone else!
