So I got my 3D printer 5 days ago and have been printing steady with it. Overnight and during school hours to maximize what I can print. But there is now a issue...the lcd screen keeps restarting.
Every second the lcd display restarts and shows the startup information, but then shuts off. Any ideas?
I initially thought it was the power supply had overheated, but then the printer worked for about 5 minutes. So I figured the power supply was fine. But now it is back to its lcd issue. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
I need to get back to printing ASAP!
LCD Screen Restarting Every Second!!
Re: LCD Screen Restarting Every Second!!
So there has been a update, I got it to work last night for about 5 hours.
Somehow, by pressing the Z limit switch many times in a row stopped the clicking...not sure why at all.
But then I woke up in the morning and it was clicking again. Let it sit all day powered off and when I went to test it now, it is still clicking.
Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't.
What do I need to do? Someone please help!

Re: LCD Screen Restarting Every Second!!
Same issue here.... Very frustrating...
I tried to connect the printer to the computer and check if can be seen through the USB port. Surprisingly it does. My computer can see the printer and even upgrade the main board firmware(if needed) - via EasyPrint
I used Repetier to control the printer and I can print without problem. So I can still print but not from SD card anymore (as I can't use the LCD screen)
Re-flashing the LCD driver (upgrade) doesn't work.
When Repetier is connected and is printing, there is no restart of the LCD... interesting.
The assumtion is that somehow the communication between the LCD and the main board is the problem but I don't know for sure.
Surely next printer won't be a Geeetech
