Purpose of UART3 Wi-Fi addon?

Post by Electr0Nick » Mon Nov 04, 2019 6:02 am

Hi everybody!

I need information on UART 3 on the GT2560 Rev B that is currently on MeCreator 2 units.

My printer has free connector there and I want to know if marlin is listening for serial command on it.

If the port is active then I could install ESP3D on a Wemos D1 mini pro board (~3 USD) and have WiFi on this printer.
If the port is not then how about the free connector near the USB one. Can I just connect there or I have to de-solder some resistors to disconnect the built in serial to usb?

Info and Ideas are welcome! thank you in advance.
