Warning: Geeetech MeCreator2 Y-belt tensioner can cut through cables!

It is hard to take good photo, but it has already cut big hole to sleeve. The tensioner could easily get stuck to that hole, or it could eventually cut or grab a electronic wire and do more serious harm to the printer. Problem could have been prevented, if tensioner was flipped to other side of the belt, so the sharp heads would point downwards.

You can see red cable trough cut hole in sleeve.

Luckily I did find this while cleaning my printer, before more serious harm was done.

Thanks for the feedback!
I also check the Mecreator 2 and find the distance between belt torsion spring and the wire is enough and causing no touch. But you proved that this might be a problem. We will carefully consider this.

Sleeved cable does move and bend to different positions during back and forth Y movements. It doesn't hit always and it took 1,5 years of casual use before I noticed the issue.

But I had seen fine shiny dust on printer much earlier, so cutting process must have been slow and long. I should have investigated the source of the dust earlier...

This isn't major design flaw that would affect each unit, but still potential issue for unlucky ones. I can fix my printer, but some people buy prebuild machines like this because they don't have technical skills.

That was the reason why I did a cable chain from the beginning
