First print - nozzle runs 1-2cm into plate when auto-home

Hi.
I followed the instruction on the manual that came with the printer.
And was ready to print the test print.

When using auto-home the z-axis, the nozzle run deep into the plate before the switch was triggered.
Then, when starting the printing process, the nozzle scratched away the blue tape and kept scratching
into the surface.

I stopped the print.

Why did that happen?
The bed was leveled (it came leveled so I didn`t adjust anything).

When I try to auto home the plate, the nozzle too runs violently into the bed so the bed tilts to the side.
After tilted for approx. 1-2 cm, I hear a click of a switch.
The printer does not seem to detect the correct height/distance automatically.
How to proceed if auto-home on the z-axis does not work?

Have you tried to do the leveling again?

1, I think you can check the wiring of Z endstop.
2, Do some test with Z-axis moving,
if it keeps going in one direction whatever how you control it,
then you may change the direction of Z-axis in firmware.

Hi thanks for your message.

I ran auto-home again and checked the display, auto-home runs to X 0 Y 0 and Z -0.39
When I use the axis-moving function in the menu and go to Z 0 it seems to be the right point from where I could
start leveling with the manual screws. So it seems the printer knows the right 0 point on the z-axis but it is not in synch somehow
with what the switch at the back does, as the switch seems to only activate after the bed is already 0.39 too high.

I could try to manually lower the switch in the back but I wonder if it can be done so that I match the Z 0
the display shows. There is an option called "set home offsets" - could this be useful in that respect?
It just makes a pieping noise but doesn't show any options.

Hi, how is the problem going?
I think the problem can be solved by bed leveling, attention the nozzle not too close to the bed.
Or, you can try to set Z offset through LCD, try "Z +4" (if the coordinate shows "0,0,-3.99" when homing) or according to your situation.
