Z axis adjustment

Post by bauchetfranck62@gmail.com » Sun Dec 01, 2019 11:27 pm

hello,
I have problems with Z axis.

I try to adjust screw with the 2 motors.

the better result i've got is: the to motors turn when i turn slowly, step by step but after 3 cm, the right stop turn ( the motor turns but we have a noise at the coupling nut)

I try to tighten the screw of the coupling more or less, it's the better adjustement that i've got
I try to put oil on the endless screw

please help

thank you

Hi, If you are referring to the z-axis not moving properly,
You can check the following:
1. Check whether the threaded rod is bent, and replace it if it is bent;
2. Check whether the z-axis brass nut is over-tightened and can be loosened properly;
3. Check whether the left and right sides of the z-axis are on the same horizontal line and adjust it;
4. Is the coupling installed correctly?
Specific operations can refer to this: http://geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=60931

Check you pot on the circuit board. You should be putting out 0.61 volts. Put the negative side of multimeter on the negative power supply, then put positive lead on the pod and you will get a reading. All pods should read 0.61 volts with exception of the extruder which is 0.72 volts.
Another check and I have done this before do you have the x and y axis reversed. The printer will print like this and is a mind blowing experience when you find out your plugged in wrong.

You are not only the one who is facing z axis issues. I am also and there are many users who are using x and y axis car lockout service accordingly and most of the time z axis adjustment issues are causing the major problems.
