Very good of you to develop and share for ABS filament.

Need help on slic3r profile too for PA Nylon filament with manufacturer's tips below:

https://bit.ly/32gaHnh

Printing temperature : 230°C - 260°C depending on part and printer type
Print speeds : 18 mm/s first layer, then 28mm/s - 34mm/s
Heated bed of 110°C helps combat Nylon's warp
No cooling fans
Only use in well ventilated areas
Store dry when not in use, absorbs moisture

P.S. -- Few prints of octopus & A10M Fan Cover cannot raise Z-axis to above 1 mm, despite over 1 hour of printing.

Hi, from your screenshot, the position of the z-axis is too low, causing the distance between the nozzle and the hot bed to be too close.

The octopus imprint on heat bed was from Z at 0.4 till 38.4 mm after 2 hrs 23 minutes of printing

(nylon was melting at extruder) but Z cannot rise above 1 mm.

What caused this please? Thanks.

Hi, According to my query, the printing of nylon consumables is nozzles 225-260, hot beds 70-90.

Am okay with temperatures stated in your reply.

My query is why extruder cannot rise up above 1 mm from hot bed despite 38.4 mm shown on green LCD screen.
No 3D octopus was printed except only white nylon imprint left on hot bed, i.e. Z-axis cannot rise above 1 mm.

Same with A10M Fan Cover using black nylon filament.

Hi, Maybe the consumables melt in the Teflon tube, you can clean the nozzles and then print.

No clogging found when either White or Black Nylon filament was selected for 3D printing,
since they were oozing out from single extruder while reaching 260 deg C.

In fact, stringing of black PA occurred during printing of A10M Fan Cover as 2D iso 3D.

Query is how to overcome 2D printing to realistic 3D printing extruder cannot rise up above 1 mm
from hot bed despite 38.4 mm shown on green LCD screen.

Hi, have you tried printing other models? Maybe a slicing error can make printing impossible.

Yes, both mini Octopus and A10M Fan cover on BOTH slic3r and Skeinforge produce same 2D results

Hi, maybe you need to adjust the bed temperature and try to reduce the print speed and try again.
