Hi all,
I was wondering if the stock heated bed included in the Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B is compatible with a 24V PSU ?
I'm asking beacause I'm printing ABS, and the MOSFET on the motherboard is burning to reach 90°C. I'm planning on installing an external MOSFET powered with the 24V PSU and controlled by the motherboard.
Could it be possible ?
Best regards,

Hi,
Building and operating involves electricity, so all necessary precautions should be taken and adhered to, the printer runs on 12V supplied by a certified power supply, so you shouldn’t ever have to get involved with anything over 12V but bear in mind there can still be high currents involved and even at 12V they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Hi!
heated bed and heater cartrigde on this printer are 12V. The board only control 12V, install a 12V external mosfet for the stock heated bed or buy a mk3 aluminium heated bed, they are capable run 12 or 24 volts, depending the connections, but you need 2 PSU the stock 12v for the printer and 24v for heated bed and the mosfet.
Best regards.
