i3 Pro B with new 3d touch sensor now driving into board

Hello everyone,
I've recently installed a Geeetech 3d touch sensor onto my I3 pro b and I've been having some problems with it. Right now the extruder is driving into the board when I put the command G1 Z0 after homing the printer. I've been playing around with the Z offset in the firmware but it has resulted in change no matter what I do.
After homing Z the LCD will display the Z as being 20, I thing this is either causing my problem or is a sympton.
Any help would be appreciated
