Super plate heatbed

Post by zweefvlieg » Sat Mar 28, 2020 9:43 pm

Hello,

I ordered and installed the Geeetech super plate heatbed. It works fine but the temperature will not rise above 85 degrees centigrade. So I cannot print with ABS or Nylon. What do you suggest to improve the warming up time of heating and to get the plate heated to 120 degrees?
regards, Willem

Hi, you can measure the resistance of the hotbed,
260w hotbed
With 12v power output,
Resistance range: about 0.5Ω
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

Hello William,

The power and the resistance are ok. So I have to find a solution to give the super plate heatbed more power, perhaps 24 volt. I could do that with an external 24 volt power supply. Can you advice me the best way to do the wiring? Is placing a relais on the old extruder heatbed connection a good idea?

regards,

Willem
