ABL with capacitive sensor

Hey folks.
Today I wanted to add auto bed leveling to my i3 pro b. I have bought a capacitive PNP sensor from amazon and plugged the cables from the sensor into the plugs of the z-min endstop. I changed my Marlin firmware accordingly to the setup I got. I used following mount for my sensor from thingiverse :https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1540434 and added the offsets for the x- and y axis and set the offset for the z-axis to zero.
When I am homing my printer, the sensor triggers as soon as it recognizes the heatbed and the movement of the z-axis stops immediately.
I measured the distance between the nozzle and the heatbed and edited the z-offset in the Marlin firmware accordingly.
As far as I am understanding the whole process of ABL (this is my first 3d-printer, basically I am a novice) my printer now should know that it can move the z-axis down after the sensor triggers by the given z-offset to eliminate any unevenness of the heatbed, but my printer is letting me down.
No matter what I set as z-offset, the movement in the z-axis stops as soon as the sensor triggers and my nozzle is approximately 2.5mm above my heatbed.
Does any of u guys have an idea what could be wrong in my configuration? Did not know how to upload my config (already said it, I am a novice in this forum) so I used a filesharer: https://filebin.net/36eayr15d3v76ry6
Cheers
