Thank you for allowing me to be part of this Forum. I am a newbie to 3d printing and about to build my baby. I am thinking of changing the extruder A4988 to a noisier but more robust DR8825. Before I do I wondered if there were any thoughts about this from my learned friends. Thanks in advance.

Changing A4988 TO DR8825 on a GT2560
Re: Changing A4988 TO DR8825 on a GT2560
I have tried to replace it with TMC2100
It works fine and the more silent
But you need to decrease the speed of your print setting.(TMC2100 is more silent, but the power of A4988 can beat TMC2100)
