DIY Servo Based Bed sensor

Post by darkspr1te » Wed Feb 28, 2018 8:05 pm

Hello All,
I've recently acquired a Wood frame I3 unit, after a lot of head scratching and playing I have now got Marlin 1.1.8 working with servo off the BL touch probe points. ( 3 pin bare connector next to Temp sensor JST connectors).

I will be posting all my mods/code here for GT2560A Plus users and Pro I3 Printers.

So Far my mods are as follows :-
1. Servo bed leveler
2. optical filament run out sensor
3. minor changes to marlin (added #define ALT_SERVO_PIN option to use BL-Touch connector for plain servo, note pinouts ground outside pins, 5V middle, signal is closest to mosfet heatsink)
4. 40mm fan duct with adjustable nozzle
5. Top mounted spool holder
6. Z axis wobble remover

Mods i still have yet to finish
1. Octopi + power supply control
2. safety cages for exposed parts
3. Marlin auto retract and wipe code improvements
4. add option to enable disable servo bed leveling with one option (currently 3 defines control this)

For Marlin Code goto https://github.com/darkspr1te/Marlin.git
i'll push the code changes to official if there is a desire from the community.

regards
