New slicing software

I've been using the repetier host as suggested by the geeetech instruct ions for my i3 pro b, however I have been toying with the idea of using either cura or sim0lify 3d for slicing duties, my question is will these programs work with my machine?
Any one have experience using these sliders?

I am using Slic3r - Prusa Edition, it should be more maintained/get more updates than Slic3r.
