hi i recwently aquired an I3 pro b printer, i have ordered T8 leadscrews to replace the bent m8 threaded rods, i understand that a firmware flash is needed, id love some help as im confused which firmware for my GT2560 rev a+ board, and user friendly info how to accomplish this task, hope someone is willing to help me out, as i must say the forum firmware section is a little overwhelming, is a boot loader required to be burned ect? and is the GT2560 rev a+ different to the non a+, and are firmwares different for these revisions please, i would like the most upto date firmware for my machine, dont require abl ect.

I would say read back a few posts and go with the latest Marlin firmware (1.1.x).
But if it works now and you're a beginner, i would say keep printing for a few weeks with the current firmware to know your printer better.

i do already have other printers, so not a total beginner, flashed my tevos firmware, but i find it difficult to get a diffinitve answer here and on facebook groups regarding correct firmware for this printer pro b rev a+, which marlin are you refering to please, as i cant find it, and is that gonna need loads of editing prior to uploading, as this would have me beat tbh, id just like the most recent pre configuired firmware i can just flash for this machine

Marlin 1.1.9 from the official Marlin site http://marlinfw.org/meta/download/
It has an example configuration file for Geeetech I3 Pro B which is almost perfect: the things I changed are stepper steps (for extruder), I enabled LCD bed leveling and filament change.
