firmware updating problem

Post by jorksx » Sat Jan 27, 2018 1:10 am

Hello.
Im having problem with my prusa i3, I cannot upload the firmware to the gt2560 board (white pcb)
I burned the bootloader with arduino uno as isp. or at least I think I did so.
now I try to upload the new firmware to the board but there is some communication error.
If I choose arduino mega 2560, it gets timed out.
If I choose mega 1280 It says upload done. but red led flashes on board fast and lcd screen has 2 rows of black boxxes.

What am I missing? I burned bootloader via SD card slot. and using arduino uno with ISP code I got from examples tab.
I choosed mega and arduino as isp and burned the bootloader. It sais that everything is ok. I disconnected uno and attached usb cable to gt2560.
Now im stuck.
chip on the board says 2560 but I get timed out with board mega 2560. With 1280 I get to upload the code but nothing happens and red led is flashing fast. In progress of uploading the red led stops flashing.
for the past week I have googled and tried everything but I havent managed to find clear instructions how to do it.

GT2560 motherboard does not need to burn bootloader, very curious why you do it
