PLA filament not extruding well

i have had good prints from my printer for a few weeks when yesterday the first layer wasn't extruding properly and was stringy in some places but wasn't in others. i have re-leveled the bed and tried different filaments but it is still the same result. any tips on how to fix it?

Does it happen only at the first layer? Can you upload some pics?

I think you can try to slow down the first layer speed a little.
Or increase the hotbed temperature by 5-10 degrees.

hi this problem affects all layers and i have slowed the first layer speed down and it has increased the print quality for the first 5 layers but when it starts on the infill it doesn't extrude properly.

I think you can try to check the voltage of A4988, adjust it to 1.0 or 1.1V.

hi i have managed to fix my problem by using some glue on the heat bed and by slowing the print down. thank you for helping me fix it.

This looks like your nozzle is too far away from the bed, check your bed leveling using the paper method or better still feeler gauge

hi the problem has come back again. the filament seems to work fine if i push the filament into the extruder but if i let it do it on its own it just doesn't extrude. does anyone have any suggestions

You can try to increase the spring pressure in the extruder by adding a washer.

thanks for the reply i have added some washers and it has resolved the problem thank you. i think that my 3d printer is just temperamental.
