Pro B newbie

Post by aaabbbmike » Tue Mar 27, 2018 5:32 am

Hi,

I've just bought and built a Pro B. Everything looks to be moving fine but the quality of the print is really poor. We've had access to an Ultimaker FDM printer but we also have a Formlabs SLA printer. I wanted something cheap and simple to knock out rough prototypes. I'm printing using PLA. Does anyone have some basic settings that they could share from extrusion temperature, bed temperature, speed, layers, infill etc.

I've tried changing one thing at a time but it is proving timely and I really wanted to demonstrate that you could get something very cheap that can deliver a good print quality.

Thanks

Mike
the quality of the print is really poor
You need to say what this means, it's too general a statement to help understand your problem.
Try checking the Print quality Troubleshooting page here:
https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... eshooting/

Provided you've calibrated and levelled the printer, the clever bit is all in the Slicing software.

You can check out Geeetech's Tutorials here:

If you're using Slic3r, the User manual is here:

Play Bonny!
