printer settings for geeetech prusa i3 pro b

Post by manikqile » Thu Mar 03, 2022 3:25 pm

ive almost got my print up to what it should be, but i want to try put a vibration limit to prevent prin quality being poor, theres also another problem in my prints where the rest of the print is perfectly smooth apart from a certain portion of it where it gets rough, almost like its over extruding only in one area of the print, not sure whats causing this https://showbox.tools/ https://speedtest.vet/. i print at 216 and 70 with retraction at 4mm, speeds are usually at around 40mm/s highest as i had problems before with it going to quick and shifting, material i use is pla with 1.75mm diameter, slicer is cura and software is repetier host, if you can help i would appreciate it.

Not sure if you're talking about a Z-Axis wobble here?
i want to try put a vibration limit to prevent prin quality being poor
I've printed and fitted a mod which cures this, see: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2508800 I've upgraded to T8, single start leadscrews rather than the M8 threaded rods.

Checkout this website for common print quality problems, I've found it useful in the past: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... eshooting/

I mainly use PLA, (1.75mm dia)
temp settings; 200c hot end, 65c bed.
Speed; depends - there are ten categories in my slicer (PrusaSlicer-2.2.0) external perimeters; 30mm/s, small perimeters; 15mm/s, infill about 20mm/s. I tend to use the slicer's defaults in the main.
Retraction; 2mm.

Hope that's of some help!

Play Bonny!
