Geeetech i3 pro b not handling filament well

Post by akhilsete » Mon Jan 31, 2022 3:58 pm

Hello there, a while back I got a geeetech i3 pro b which is a prusa clone from China. I got all the standard problems with it sorted out and I got it to actually print with decent quality. But I found that it would really only work well with one filament at a time and that if I had to switch filaments I would have to do a whole bunch of calibration https://omegle.onl/ vshare.

I recently bought a used lulzbot mini v2 and it handles all the filaments fine with just one setting. The geeetech one couldn't even print a black pla that I had and the lulzbot handles it fine I can provide pictures if needed.

So I was just wondering what this was a problem with, I think it's the extruder being bad quality but i am not entirely sure.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean it would only work with one manufacturers filament, one colour or one type, i,e, PLA, APS, PETG, etc? Different manufacturers shouldn't matter in the main providing it's not too cheap though some cheap ones are fine. Colour shouldn't matter but differing types PLA, ABS, PETG, etc have different characteristics and will need different hot end and bed temperatures set up in your slicer.

Does this help in any way?

Play Bonny!
