Stepper Moror Seized on new build.

Hi i have just got a new 13b printer and after assembling it (two days phew) i found one of the stepper motors siezed. To confirm this i swapped it to another Axis and it was still jammed solid. the motor from the other Axis worked though. i tried to get product support but it insists on a bar code. there were about 5 or 6 on the packaging and none of them worked. i have ordered another 42SHD0034-20b stepper motor from Geeetech but it cost a lot with the packaging and will take ages to get to me.
Anyone got a solution?
Amazon did offer to return the printer but i really want to try 3d printing:) so declined for now.
