Printer not connecting

Hello, I just bought a rostock 301 printer.

I installed the driver CDM V2.12.00 driver; and the repetier-host V1.6.0
My device manager says that the USB post is Com3
I copied all the settings from the manual into the repieter-host & click 'connect'
The printer cannot be connected;

what can I do?

Have you closed ANY other program that can connect to the printer ?
Cura / Slic3r etc will stop you from connecting if they're open.
