Hello everyone,,
I'm a newbie here on this forum. I have a I3 PRO B and since 2 days, my printer has started to not extruding correctly. I don't know why but on the center of the heat bed it doesn't place material. As you can see in the attached photo.
For the print I used these parameters:
Slicer: Cura
Level height: 0.15
First level: 0.3
Speed: 20 mm/s
Extrusor temp.: 210°
Bed temp: 65°
Infill 15%
2 perimeters
grid infill: 15%...
Problem of extrusion???
Re: Problem of extrusion???
Hi turnback101,
I can't see an attached photo...
But when extrusion problems arise - I would generally lift the nozzle a few cm above the bed...
Get it up to temperature and see if I can push some filament through.
(Press down on the filament release lever to get the extruder cog off the filament and push down on the filament above the extruder to manually feed.)
Does this result in extrusion ?
I would then see if extrusion is performing correctly in free space...
(You can Google regarding 'Extruder calibration' as to how to do this )
I've posted elsewhere as to how I do this...
"
...
I found that when I was calibrating the extruder, I had to go really slowly to make sure the feed was consistent.
I was measuring 100mm lengths being extruded.
Mark the filament exactly 120mm above the extruder entry...
Run 100mm through (Or what the current setting thinks is 100mm ! )
Measure to the mark and see what's gone through.
Use this measured figure to re-calibrate the printer.
I had to keeping using the G codes...
G92 E0 - (This sets extruder to zero )
G1 E100 F50 - (Extrudes 100mm slowly - circa two minutes)
...
"
If the correct amount of filament is being extruded, then I would suspect that the nozzle is too close to the bed on layer one...
(The nozzle being too close to the bed effectively blocks the filament from exiting the nozzle)
If you're still having problems - remove the filament from the extruder...
Take off the fan, pull apart the extruder and check within for a piece of broken off filament causing a blockage.
Let us know how you get on.
