A30T: silence the loud fans

Hi,

I have a A30T printer and as soon as I switch it on there's a very loud fan noise coming from the base of the printer, and I want to silence it.

Did anyone tried to silence the A30T ?

I will try to adapt the recommendations made for the A10 on this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=98&t=68275

My feeling is that the PSU fan and motherboard fan are causing the big noise, I will disassemble the printer to take a closer look. Anyone knows the size and voltage of these two fans?

Then if it's not enough I will change the hot end fans.

I will try to find Nocuta fans as they're very quiet, or Sunnon maglev.

Please tell me your feedback on silencing the A30T if someone tried.

Thanks ! :)

In my unit the hot-end fan (right side on the extruder) is horrible loud. All other fans (bottom and PSU) are bearable. The PSU fan gets noticable when PSU is loaded during heating but I could live with that. For testing I blocked the hot-end fan with a toothpick before switching on to hear the difference - amazing. No worries, the fan has a blocking detection and will not be destroyed. You can then activate the print-cooling fan in the menu, it is not that loud at all. The noise reminds me to those 1U rack mount server PSU fans, ugly.

So best bet is to replace this terror-fan by a bigger one with a self-printed shroud.
