Auto-level BL Touch Configuration Troubles

Post by TacoScientist » Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:08 pm

Hello all,

I am going to try to be very clear with all I have tried in my post because I can not figure out how to get the BL Touch working with my printer.

I have hardware version 2.1, 24v PSU A30. On the expansion board I recently removed the NPN sensor port and added the 5 pins for the BL Touch. I have installed the latest firmware 1.38.59 on the mainboard and updated the to appropriate screen version 38. I also have removed the screen SD card and added the new system folder on it for the updated GUI. The touch sensor is installed and I am confident that I have the wiring right connected to the expansion board.

When I first turn on my printer the BL Touch will do its self check fine. After selecting 3D touch in the autolevel menu and turning on autoleveling, I can not get the pin to drop or raise on the screen or with Gcode commands M280 P0 S10; or M280 P0 S90 ;. Once when the BL touch was in an alarm state I hit the alarm release button on the screen to reset the alarm and it worked. So I know I have at least some functionality with this sensor. Until I can trigger the pin to calibrate Z offset I can not use auto-calibration and would much like to.

Can someone please point out what I may be missing here or next steps to try?

Thanks!

Edit: I can get M280 P0 S120 to start the self test on BL Touch
