Replacing the board

I have a peculiar question.
I have a fried, completely fried A30. I am thinking of serious modification with parts I already have laying around the house.
An ANET A8 Ramps 1.7 board and a bowden extruder. So, my question is: Can I use the frame and heat bed and change everything else?
Will it work?
Thanks for any answer

Hi, What happened to your A30? Is there a problem with the power supply?

What is your A30 hardware version number, 24V above 2.0,
The motherboard used is GTM32 Pro VD,
You can view the schematic here.

I hope this can help you.

There was a problem with the power box.
Twice.
I have a beautiful aluminium frame sitting on my desk with no use at all, so I thought maybe I can use parts of the printer that works, and parts that I can install myself (like the ANET board I have in my drawer) to make a functional printer again.

Hello.

If this controller board has sufficient number of control inputs and outputs you can start this experiment.
First of all, look for a firmware with the right functionality you want.
Then you have to read a lot about how to connect the sensors. You need to know the order of the leads in the connectors.
It is not an easy task but it is to do it. ;)

You may also have to buy a display module, the original one may be incompatible.
