I've own my A30 for 9 months now and generally it is great, the only problem I do get is the X axis level. Out of the box I used the spacers and level the X axis, it wasn't happy and I could feel some pressure winding the right hand lead screw to level it. It worked fine but kept I had to constantly re level the bed on one side. After a while I could see the bed was now a couple of mm out, I checked the beam and it was 2 mm higher on the idler end. I re-leveled the beam and then the bed but gradually it happened again until around the 2 mm mark it stops needing adjustment.

Today I removed the bolts that fix the Z carriage to the X beam on the idler side. The spacer was under the motor side and I had the 2 mm gap the other side. On releasing the last bolt nothing happened You'd expect it to drop either with stress or gravity up it stayed 2 mm above the spacer. That explains why it always end up 2 mm out.

So Question, to adjust the motor side to level:

Is there any adjustment in it? will I have to slot some holes.

Is the only way to slacken the motor side off, to remove the top beam and extruder and lift it off adjust and put on try it and keep doing this until it sits level?

Are there any A30 assembly drawing that might help?

Any thoughts or experience of doing this would be welcome.

Can you post any photos. I think I know what your saying and If I can help I will. I have the later version of the A30 so it did not come with the profile spacers for the X, I just used a spirit level on top middle and on the bed, I only saw the people on youtube having the the spacers with thier review copies of the A30.
But have had some small minor probs with the Lead Screws but they were easy enough to sort out.

I think I've sorted it
Today I disconnected the idler side of the X beam and stayed where it was 2 mm too high. (See photos) other side Anti Rattle bearings And Other side Looking at the other end where the Stepper motors are there are also 3 screws but 2 are hidden behind the vertical beam. So I remove, lead-screw, motor and the plastic infill strips and rested the beam on the spacer.
I took a drill and marked the beam where the 2 holes are in the carriage and then removed the vertical beam and drilled both the holes. Cleaned and reassembled leaving the screws from the carriages into the X beam loose and rested them both on the spacers and tighten them up. I will re mark the Lead-screws and see if they stay in sync. I remember thinking when I first set it up that it felt like I was tight when leveling it. Now there is no preload so I hope it will not skip one side or the other.
