M25 pause issues

Hi.

I'm using Cura 4.0 and a custom script to pause the print at a certain height (using M25 command) but it looks like there is a bug in the Smartto firmware.

I thought it was the custom script so I simply added an M25 where I wanted it to pause which the printer did (and re-homed itself - although I didn't ask for that).

However, when I press resume on the touchscreen, the head moves back to the object prints for a a nano second and then re-homes and is in a pause state again.

Every time I press resume the same thing happens.

I know I can just press the pause button myself but I wanted more granular control over when it paused rather than me watching and guessing.

Anyone else can replicate this issue?

Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback.
We will ask the engineer to get more details and then release a new version fw for a30.

Thanks William.

As a follow-up to this, I've switched from using SD card printing to using Octoprint and the M25 pause issues are not present in this method.

So the issue is with SD card printing.

Hi,
I'm new in this forum and unfurtunatly my english isn't so good.

I have the same problem on my Geetech A30 (Firmware 1.38.59).
I'm tring to pause a printing automaticly from gCode and then restart it by LCD screen buttom but unfurtunatly i can't do that.
I would pause print for changing filament and continue printing with another filament color.
I put M25 command at a certain point of my gCode script. The printer correct stops but when i press the resume button on my LCD the printer goes back to the printed object and then re-home. I also have tried to put M24 command after M25 command but nothing change.

I would also like the printer to make a sound when it pauses. Is it possible?

Is there a solution?
Is there a way to automaticly paused a print, change filament and than resume printing the same gcode file?

Thanks!

Hi, I am afraid you can't do something like this. you can refer to this:http://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M024.html
