Hello all,
has anyone experience with aluminium/metal extruder feeder for the A30? I have some problems with continous feeding because of:
1. Tension of the spring
2. Deformation of the plastic components
3. Slipping of the drive gear
For this issues I want so switch over to a, how should I say, higher quality metal feeder if this is possible.
Can anyone tell me which one is compatible and eventually where to buy?

I bought two of this on ebay and they work without any problems.

Looks very simple and smart. Perfect, I will try, thank you!

I had the same problems and replaced the original extruder with a BMG dual extruder (Clone). Since then the filament has been reliably transported thanks to the two press rollers and a 3: 1 reduction ratio. Because of the 3: 1 reduction you have to adjust the E-Steps for the extruder motor (Smartto-Motor Tool, E-Steps (original) = 90, new E-Steps = 415).
Due to the excellent filament transport (and guide) I can now easily print PETG, PP and nylon filament.

I agree. i own the one slipknot28 posted. For PLA it is fine but im going buy the BMG dual drive.
I need the the ratio because of the torque.
Because I print large parts I have problems with the extruder at high relative movements in X and Y direction. The extruder then needs more force when moving the Falliment tube to ensure the necessary feed at the same time.
