Hello,
I started getting a new error with the control rebooting after printing about 1cm tall worth of model, about 100x100 area. I think the printer beeps and reboots or maybe it reboots then beeps. Either way- there is a beep and a reboot

So my question is if anyone knows what the problem may be. Is a motor overheating and this is a protection mechanism? Maybe it is the control box overheating? I Do have the box lifted so it can get proper ventilation. Is it possible that a static charge is being built up causing it to reboot?

I run the printer standalone and print from the SD card.

Thoughts?

There can be several reasons for an unexpected restart:
1. Each time the USB cable is connected, a reboot is performed.
So I would check if sometimes this connection is not not working properly. Temporary disconnections can generate unexpected restarts.
2. Restarts can also be caused by a drop in the converter voltage on the controller board.
This phenomenon may be generated by a failure of this part of the electronics, or too much of a temporary load on the converter voltage.

3. You may also be able to call the restart indirectly using the Gcode command.

Maybe this information will lead you to the right track.

Thank you I think it is number 2/ something related to the electronics. I don't use a USB and the gcode is from cura. Maybe there is something in the gcode that is overloading the system? But then it'd probably stop in the same place all the time.

Overall great recommendations. I'll look in to them. Never fun when you can't use new toys >_<

So, I am back and was never able to resolve the problem.

Is there a single controller board that can be replaced? With the COVID situation I've been printing masks and face shield adapters. I have to babysit the printer though so that means no bulk printing because when the machine randomly resets the bed then cools down causing the prints to loosen.
