M303 is for PID autosetting by machine itself. But the command is not supported in our firmwares. Maybe you can use M301/M304 if you want to set/get parameters about PID. Or you can use our smartto motor tool in
https://github.com/Geeetech3D/Smartto-E ... ster/tools for setting/getting PID.

https://github.com/Geeetech3D/Smartto-Tool we moved the tools to single project.
We are not suggest that modifing motor parameters now(2018/8/8).Because there are some fatal errors in newest firmware(1.39.62 for A30/1.33.42 for E180) but only these firmwares support PID commands.
We are working on it...

I have been working with 1.39.62 and 3d touch, Horrible but at least smartto show PID data an rest of data.
Downloaded to 1.38.61, also a pain in the xxx....
Get rid of 3dtouch and back to manual, downloaded to 1.35.56, factory reset, and smartto shows NO DATA, no PID etc...
what could it be?

@apak
You are right, V1.35.56 doesn't support some configurations yet. we are testing our new firmware and will put it online in a few weeks.

Since the last post long time is gone. I use the latest firmware V1.38.59 and there is still not possible to use M303 for Extruder temp auto PID.
The issue is that since one of the last firmware versions the temp of the extruder is not stable at the selected temp. Maybe I want to print PLA at 200°C than the extruder heat up to 202°C and cool down to 193°C before it start again with heating.
I can get /set PID with the motor tool, but I do not know which settings I need to use to fix the issue.
Can anyone explain what impact has the value for P, the value for I and the value for D?
When would you integrate the Gcode M303 in your firmware? Why you’re use a new, self developed firmware instead to use well running firmware like Marlin?
Thank you.

So... this is still an issue. When will PID autotuning work on the A30 or the firmware finally be fixed to work by whatever other way comes to mind?
