Re: blacksreeen after update
Hi again,
Thanks for the link but that should not to be the problem.
I like to install the newest software version 1.38.59 because with 1.37.58 there are ploblems when leveling the z-axix.
In the readme from 1.38.59 they wrote "When upgrading through the Smartto Firmware Upgrader Tool, you need to use the V2.x or higher
version of the tool to complete the upgrade correctly."
But Version 2 or higher is not avilable.

Re: blacksreeen after update
I will ask you out of curiosity.
How much did your previous printer you mentioned cost
On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
Geeetech Prusa I3 M201 Dual extruder Mixcolor 3D printer, bought 2017-12-19, already built, in the cognitive and improvement phase
Geeetech filament, ABS only
Geeetech 3D WiFi Module for 3D Printer, bought 2018-04-15, He got a new life, and still lies in a drawer.
Positively frenzied customer of Getech Technology.

Re: blacksreeen after update
Hello guys
found this thread as it seems that I have produced the same issue.
-tried to upgrade using Easyprint
- upgrade stuck when "Updating LCD"
- firmware before upgrade: 1.0.58 ; uploaded firmware: 1.3.56; firmware shown after upgrade: 1.0.56 ...?
- LCD black; PC seems still be able to connect, but printing is not possible
- tried smartto several times, seems very unstable, sometimes works, sometimes not - didn't change anything=> LCD black
Is this just a fairytale with version 2.x.. or is it available somewhere? Or does somebody have an idea to solve the issue somehow? Thanks and best regards!

Re: blacksreeen after update
Could fix it after finding this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txb0XEjBGP8&t=4s
Folders were all on the internal sd-card, but the bin- and txt-file were not there. After copying those files to the internal sd-card the lcd flashed and the printer was working again.
I think I afterwards found the reason for the failed flash-process: when I removed my sd-card with gcode-files from the printer to copy some new files to it, I found a file called "a30.bin" . So probably the flash-batch went for the first sd-card found (which was the one with the g-code files and not the one in the lcd) and copied the boot-files to the wrong card. To avoid this I guess the sd-card should be removed before flashing.
